Each Themed Weekend at The Texas Renaissance Festival 2025

Part of the fun of visiting The Texas Renaissance Festival is experiencing the different themes that are all part of the adventure. Here are the themes broken down by dates:
– October 11-12 Oktoberfest: This is going to be the opening weekend where the king and queen of Bavaria open up the festivities. Of course, you should prepare yourself to indulge in the delicious beers that will be there as well. It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without Beirs and bratwursts for all to enjoy. There may even be a bratwurst eating contest that you can give your best shot at winning.
– October 18-19 1001 Dreams: Enter the fantastical world of fairies, elves, and other magical creatures during the 1001 Dreams weekend. This is your chance to don your most fantastical costume as you enter the dragon wing eating contest.
– October 25-26 All Hallows Eve: With this being the closest weekend to Halloween, it seems only fitting to celebrate All Hallows Eve. The kingdom will transform into Transylvania as people come wearing their best Halloween costumes. There will be a kettle corn eating contest this weekend.
– November 1-2 Pirate Adventure: Gather your gold hoop earrings and eye patches galore to attend the pirate adventure weekend event. There will be a contest for the best dressed pirate so bring your best pirate impression to go along with the outfit as you partake in a fish n chips contest as well.
– November 8-9 Heroes & Villains: This weekend, both heroes as well as the villains of their stories are invited to clash together in the village. Hopefully you have the energy to participate in the gyro eating contest.
– November 15-16 Barbarian Invasion: Barbarians will be coming out in droves to attend the weekend set apart for their epic battles. There will be feasts to be had, drinks to be enjoyed, and plundering to be taken care of in the most barbaric ways.
– November 22-23 Highland Fling: Come and celebrate the Koby’s of Scotland as the lads and lassies come out to tarry. There will be Highland Games to watch and delicious food to enjoy.
– November 28-30 Celtic Christmas: Father Christmas will be attending this event along with his Christmas elves as the wishes of small children are written down for the big day. This is a great family weekend to be had.
